hi all, I'm pretty new here. I had super fond memories of playing FS2 retail back in the day and the work you all have done on the source code project looked so great I had to give it a try! It's not going so well though, I included a picture of the error message I'm getting. has anybody received this before? and if so, how do I work around it? by the way, I'm running OS X.6.7

Thanks in advance!

I think I had a similar issue with the java installer on OSX actually. I think it worked on windows.

Just continue without it, it should work fine as long as you get the 3.6.12s.

hi all, so I even went ahead and partitioned and installed ubuntu 11.04 and I got the *exact* same error. weird? I think so. could it have something to do with my system specs?
and it did not work just continuing as normal, the installer finished in seconds with only temp files in the directory.

That's not good. Did you select 'The Works' as your download option?
-
yep, tried downloading everything. also tried just the bare minimum, made no difference.

You may want to go ahead with a manual install until we get the new installer finished, then.

I'm interested in that, where can I find the files?

Just get the OS X builds (and maybe some Mac Launcher) in step 4.
