The FSO Installer seems to be having trouble with a particular file. The error reads, "A config file could not be downloaded. (http:173.8.193.66:7701/svn/MediaVPs/mv.txt)"
In game, this issue seems to translate into missing models for a few ships. Is the download link broken? I'm not exactly sure what file is missing either so I can't find a manual fix.

Looks like one of the text files that tells the Installer where to get something... I'm guessing either there is a typo (it's supposed to be something like mv_assets.txt) or a problem with the file on the server.

I have the same problem. After installing everything, I'm missing Media VP, and upon starting up, there are some 146 warnings and I cannot start a game afterwards.

Hmm, try saving this in your Installer directory, located in your FS install dir ... in notepad, copy+paste the following text (that starts with "NAME FSU MediaVPs, version 3.6.12"), then choose file > save as > choose "files of type -> all files" > type
mv.txt
Then hit enter or press "save"

thanks, but still don't work. where should I save this file? under installer folder beside the installer.exe, or somewhere under the rt folder?

I tried the fix, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm still missing 71 ship models, textures, etc. I did end up downloading a bunch of new files, but they didn't seem to have any effect.

Go manual install. Safer way to do it.

The fix only gives you mv.txt ... if the server for the actual files that mv.txt points to is down, then it won't do any good.

This issue has now been resolved. Or should be.
The file was present at the location, but the IPTables entry for that location temporarily got messed up, resulting in the installer not being able to find it like it should have.

I just ran the installer and i got the MediaVPs but i may have missed getting a few other files...see my post below titled Errors in Installing...
