Title: Beam Cannon Sounds

Just wondering how the FreeSpace 2 beam cannon sounds were made, and how I could make some of my own?  They really are quite unique; I've never heard the beam sounds of another game approach the "power" of them.

Chech Inferno Release 1 [INFR1], Earth Alliance beams have pretty beam sounds :).
