So uh... I passed the mission, and yet they still yell at me? What?

Sounds like your typical boot camp or OCS to me. :p

Yeah, the campaign can get finicky with that sometimes. Even if you successfully complete the objectives, if you leave just a second before the RTB directive shows up, you'll get yelled at. :(

It is unusual that he still got the success debriefing right below it, though. The triggers should be set up so as to be mutually exclusive in all cases, but after looking at the mission file it seems that things could have been set up better.

The guy said leave, but apparently he wasn't talking about leaving the battlefield. He was talking about leaving the blast radius of the command ship

Command and your English language with all it's context. You can go shoot yourself

lulz

Also, "A celebration of FreeSpace" is a thread for purdy pictures, so split for great justice.

Clearly it belonged. I was celebrating it with it's hilarious tidbits!

(FYI, if I recall correctly there were pictures done in paint somewhere within the first 10 pages. Also, it is purdy. It's 1920x1080 resolution!)

It was fuzzy and failed to demonstrate the graphical advances provided by the MediaVPs.

*cries*

I guess I'm just not good enough to be that thread

So I assume that means total conversions or standalones can't have images from them posted in there then since they don't use the mediavps? K.

Not to mention all the SGWP2 briefing and message list screenshots.

YES.

K fine, this originally sounded more like "Something is wrong with the game", rather than "lulz, this moment of FreeSpace made me celebratory". And I can't be arsed to merge the threads at this point.

Okay well I do admit it sounded that way. Also, I am using the MediaVPs

However, on the subject of submitting screen shots, Windows 7 has this idea that it will make a print screen of whatever is displaying not at the moment of when I hit the button, but rather whenever is displaying when I switch from Freespace to the desktop. I'll either get the "Do you really want to quit the game" screen or the "Paused" thing in front of me rather than what I wanted. Any way around this?

When you hit print screen, a nice screenshot gets generated in your Freespace2/screenshots folder.

*Searches*

Apparently that folder doesn't exist for me

IIRC, it might be in your Documents folder instead, on Windows 7.

If you have FSO installed under \Program Files\ or \Program Files (x86)\ , and if Win is again overly cautious, the screenshots might end up in
Code: [Select]
C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\<Rest of the path to your FS2 directory>\screenshots\

Haha! Excellent. Thanks for directing me to that
