I'm noticing this is happening to me a lot more than it should (It really shouldn't be happening at all), whenever I log in I always select the forever duration so I never have to log off, yet it insists that for the hell of it that I'm suddenly logged off in the middle of browsing a thread. Sometimes it happens every few hours, it happens every other day, or it happens every five minutes.
Forever is forever. Meaning: Log in once, stay logged in, I shouldn't have to log back in unless I delete my browsing history and cookies and all that good stuff, or if I intentionally log off, not whenever it feels like it.

Whatever's going wrong seems to be going wrong on your end. The forever option keeps me logged forever, and seems to be the case of everyone else. No need to yell at forum staff.

Unless I mention it, and I can get an answer other than an immediate "Oh it's your problem," I won't know.
Hence I bring it up.
-
It used to happen to me quite frequently some time ago. Then it ceased.
-
Try using capslock. Sometimes that works for me.

Yeah, this was happening to a bunch of people several months ago, but it's been fine for me since then.

If your HLP cookie gets deleted (like by a cleanup program like CCleaner, Advanced System Care, or at a user's direction) then you will have to log back in. The cookie controls the saved login. I suppose you could find the cookie and back it up, then restore it if it gets deleted.

I've had a similar problem recently. I was replying to a PM and by the time I finished typing I had been logged off and had log back in an retype the message. This has happened before but only once recently. I general manually log out when leaving the site.

Security or Privacy programs (like some AV suites, CA Internet Security comes to mind) block too much and prevent sites from working properly (like you can't keep items in your Basket at online shopping sites such as Newegg unless you add an exception, and it's not easy to figure out what's causing the hangup, either).

This is something that basically just started happening (About two months ago), I haven't changed any programs, and I don't delete things in the browser history page.

OK, then you could try deleting your HLP cookie, maybe it got corrupted. This will force your browser to get a new one. :)
