First of all, I'd like to thank you for helping me out unless your here to mock me.
I'd like to confirm that this question is regarding Mac, although I do have some screen shots available. I am not new to FreeSpace 2 BUT I am new to FreeSpace open and all the crap that comes with it. I almost understand the launcher and have unsuccessfully tried to install FreeSpace 2 Open (with working mods/addons) on both Windows and on Mac. I do have working copies of both versions of FreeSpace but have only a Mac computer running both operating systems. I am getting rid of Windows on my mac and I now want the game on my OSX partition.
First of all, I tried installing a copy of FreeSpace 2 for Windows on my windows partition. Worked Fine. Then, I got the FreeSpace Open Installer from this very site at: {http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,42854.0.html}. I downloaded the installer for windows and ran it using only the option of installing "The Works". This being finished, (with multiple errors) I tried launching my newly installed Blue Planet and on startup I was notified of 50 or so errors. I could get no further than the first Briefing room of the new Campaign.
Later, I decided to try the installation of Blue Planet myself again to no avail.
Now to Mac. I have attached a screenshot of my folder for FS2.
As you can see, I do have an Inferno Build of FSO, but no launcher (in that folder). What files do I need, and from where, and where in my FreeSpace folder do I need to put them in order to get Blue Planet and #2 to work?
I have tried to get it to work and haven't been successful at all.
Thanks in advance.

Your mods should be in distinct folders in the Freespace 2 folder. . . I'm guessing you might have stuck them in "data"? There should be a "blueplanet" and "blueplanet 2" folder, with their own seperate *.vps and data folders.

If we go directly according to the instructions, "blueplanet2", without spaces.

yea I put both of my blueplanet folders in my freespace folder.. my problem is an error message that forces blueplanet to close.
