The current FSU glass is kind of goofy looking, with way too much specularity and reflection, resembling more chrome than glass, especially when paired with an atmosphere skybox (in fact, has it changed at all since cockpits were first implemented in 2003 or so?). This new glass has considerably less shininess and has a slight tint to it, making it look less like some sort of weird chrome film and more like actual glass. A gold version for the Erinyes is also included.

Nice work!

It looks great, like actual glass... but can we see a comparison shot? Before and after? :nervous:
-
Clear glass is infinitely better. I can't commend you enough for these new maps. They look much more like real glass, and we now no longer have random white streaks in the glass texture.
Gold glass is pretty fugly. My personal impression is that gold freespace glass is supposed to look like dark glass with a one-way gold reflective coating, like on astronaut helmets. Not yellow cathedral glass.
Are the artemis cockpits using the new glass shines? I think they look better, but am comparing against my own memory (which has proven somewhat inaccurate at times)

The Artemis cockpit has its own texture.
-
Sab0o's artemis? K, thanks for clearing that up for me.

Gold glass looks much better.
-
You check to see what it looks like from the cockpit's point of view?
-
Glass shouldn't be visible from the cockpit view at all.
