In-progress bomber model. Role is attacking capital ships that have heavy point defense, so it would close in to point-blank range and strafe turrets, thereby avoiding being a target for the entire ship's guns.

The idea is to have two turrets just aft of the cockpits, but I'm having a bit of difficulty in figuring out how to mount them w/o looking silly. Original thought was to have a cylindrical multipart turret embedded in the hull, but that seems highly impractical now that I am at this stage. Thoughts/advice on how to model the turrets and area around them world be greatly appreciated.

Whups! Put up wrong picture previously, these are the right ones.

Looks like a sea turtle, which isn't an altogether bad thing, I rather like it.  Now...what about turning it into a beam bomber.  With the two rear turrets being weak beams?  Then all you need are beam ports.  Something like a weak AAAf, but used for taking out turrets.  It could also double as defense against fighters.  I'd counter balance this by giving it a long fire wait.  Couple this with a decent payload, and you have a bomber that is a threat to any ship.
