I need a staff sheet which would ideally indicate the following
Sick pay
Up until 3 months service = no sick pay
At 4 months service = up to 1 day sick pay
At 5 months service = up to a total of 3 days sick pay
At 6 months service = up to a total of 5 days sick pay
At 9 months = up to a total of 6 days
At 12 months = up to a total of 7 days
Thereafter,
Every 3 months completed to get an extra day - up to a maximum of 26 days sick pay
Re-set date
There is what they called a ‘sickness year start’:
That would start on the first occurrence that the person was sick and it would be ‘re-set’ a year after that day
See my miserable attempt attached....
Yep, i gave up on it as my knowledge is puny.

It is not as flexible as I would like but I think this is what you are after.
At the top is the months service /days pay ratio you can change the numbers to your hearts content but it will not take a change to the basic rules without rebuilding cell B12. also DO NOT TOUCH cell C8 it is a formula based on the months served to calculate the additional days when more than 12months + 3 rule comes into play and will change depending on the data in the Service length cell so if this rule changes you will need to rebuild the formula here.
Next you enter the persons service length in months, the others numbers are generated.
Use Sick Pay Year Start to set the pay year.
Finally enter the sick days used by entering Y in the cell on the right side of the corresponding date.
Any issues let me know
