I'm attempting to get a working version of Modelview and every link on the Wiki is dead. I checked on several other websites including the FS Oracle and got dead links there as well.
This underscores a recurring issue that I'm noticing where a lot of modding tools on the Wiki are either out of date or dead links. Firstly, does anyone have a copy of Modelview that they can send my way? Secondly, if people do have access to the proper modding tools, we should verify and get them up on the Wiki. It makes the job that much harder for people just starting out on the FS modding scene if they can't even access working tools.
Cheers

Why modelview? Why can't you use PCS2?

http://www.freespacemods.net/download.php is the core location for fs downloads but tbh you would be better off with PCS2, Modelview has fallen by the wayside and after a bit of a community banter many of modelview's features that were missing have been added to PCS2

Some uploading services can be jerks about not telling how long your uploaded files will be available or delete them without warning. It's happened to me several times hosting a few FS2 missions I created in the past. It's always good to inform the community if links are broken so they can be fixed, just as long as you say clearly what, where and how.
PCS2 is a really good tool, I haven't even heard of modelview before. Go with PCS2 to also avoid unexpected problems from importing files from another source to FS2 supported formats.

pcs2 is pretty much all you need. there were a few reasons to keep modelview around, as there was a time when there were a couple things you couldn't do pcs2 and had to use model view (probably due to bugs or incomplete features at the time, i really cant remember what they were, moi and something else). but i think those issues have been fixed.
