Title: game crashes at startup [solved]

I was playing the blue planet mod on the mission First contact part 1 when the game crashed, when I went to load the game back up whenever I press any of these buttons: http://i.imgur.com/ZCWhN.jpg
the game will crash. It also does not matter what mod I use, it will crash at this point no matter what.

I tried deleting the multi-mission-pack.vp  but this didn't do anything. I have attached the fs2_open.log.

I am running Windows 7 x64 i have freespace 2 installed to C:\Games\Freespace2\ and i installed it using the GoG installer if any of that helps.

You probably broke your pilot file somehow. And that isn't particularly surprising if you've been using that same pilot for everything.

Rule of thumb: separate pilot files for all mods.

ok that seems to have been it, i deleted my old pilot and now i can get to the campaign menu.
