I was adding a weapon that is a modified disrupter, but my fighter is unable to carry it in the weapon selection. I added the weapon to the list of "allowed weapons" in ships.tbl, and the weapon itself has the flag of Player allowed. Am I missing something? I can force-add it with cheats, so I know it works. My fighter just doesn't want to carry it. Are there any other flags or anything that would disallow it to be added?

can you post the weapon table and the pbank/sbank lines for the ship and what error do you get
-
Well its all guess work and speculation if we can't see the tables. Most of the time its just something as simple as forgetting to enable the weapon the team loadout screen of the mission or allowing it to be used in the campaign file. Or a simple spelling error or what not.
-
I'm pretty sure it was the "Puncture" flag. It automatically reduces damage by 75% and associates the weapon with disrupters, disabling them in certain fighters.

THIS.
If the mission has the weapon when played via the techroom but doesn't have it normally you know that the issue is that you didn't allow it from the campaign editor.

I'd have kissed you if I didn't stub my toe on that last night. Worst mistake ever.
Can't tell you how many times I edited and rewrote the same segments in ships, weapons, and even sounds for the sound effect.
