not bad. The nebulae looks pixelated and out of place though. I suggest creating them in Max/Lightwave/whatever you're using.

The Orion looks... i dunno. Fat. A FOV issue?

and tried is spelled with an i. :p

[edit]

oh, and you've way overused lens flares.

Well you couldn't expect it to be perfect since I made it first in paint and then I sort of made it look better in Photo Shop 5.5 and I couldn't make it any better than that. Of course I am gonna try better but you know what they say, practice makes perfect.

EDIT: And I can't make them in max or Lightwave because I don't have them. :(

Wait a sec, are you telling me, that you took pictures of those ships in modelview, and then made that "render" by copypasteing the ships in a 2d image!?

If so, I'm impressed

Yep that's how i did it. First I had to open two paint windows, I used one to put in the background and in the other I placed the models which I took with PRINT SCREEN from ModelView and then pasted them in. Later on I added ships untill I was happy with what I got and then I used Photo Shop and polish it a bit and that's all. I didn't use any 3d utilities except for ModelViewer.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. :)

I cannot get the page to load. :(

Actually, I make "renders" in a similar manner using PSP, but that is because I don't really know how do the appropriate stuff in 3DSmax. :p

You're a tapper, just use the TAP image upload system. I'll send the details in a pm

500 Internal Server Error...:(

And that's basically how I do my renders (okay not quite but almost). I render it in 3DExplorer, copy/paste the image into Photoshop 6.0, and then add effects. It's why my lighting never comes out too well...at all. It's not the best way to render and it's far from perfect but when you don't have proper 3D progs like Lightwave or MAX it's the only way.

For those that are having trouble viewing the image, here's a mirror (http://w1.520.telia.com/~u52019065/Feat/__hr_1.jpg).

What do you mean by aa?

Well, I don't see anything very wrong with the Orion
Well lens flares need some work but I still have to work with them a bit.

Thanks for the last two lones. I will try to make this better.

Anti-Aliasing...
Gets rid of those jagged lines...
I think modelview can do that.. sort of...
And the perspective is goofy... Its just the way modelview renders it...
This one was rendered in Lightwave at a similar angle, see the difference?

And if you want something uploaded gimme a shout...

Why? I can upload it my self. And about Auto Alising, I turned it on in modelview. And I don't have lightwave. I tryed to install it on my PC and it kept crashing but anway, this is my first render without using 3d tools so I can't make it better than this. I had to add lence flares are lightning so that it would get an extra edge to the immage. You don't want to see the "render" that wasn't redone in Photo Shop.
