What's the right settings to get a COB to a 3DS with textures intact?

Er.. default...
You just have to make sure the textures are there, I dont think it converts them...

If I use defaults it gives me texturless model. I converted all the pcx's using PSP and told DE to change the tex's to bmp's in the model file but it still ain't working.

I think, you have to have the model & texes in the same folder. You may have to convert the texes to bmp.

Converted them to bmp's before hand, have everything in the same folder.

Perhaps the UV mapping data, or whatever, was lost somewhere along the way.
What did you use to convert anyway?

They renamed 3D exploration to Deep exploration.

I meant Pof ---> Cob

PCS, but DE shows them fine as cobs. It's when I change 'em to 3ds's that everything ****s up.

I've got a 3DS of every freespace2 ship. If you want I can just zip the one's you're trying to convert and send them to you.
But if it's some other ships, then sorry.

Which ships though?

Dude, you have to reapply the textures yourself. Just point it to the texture files. You don't have to re-do the UV mapping.

Mwuaha. I've found a copy of 3DE and can now convert the models right :D:D:D:D:D.
