GOG you just made my frakkin' day. (http://www.gog.com/en/newsletter/ea_wave_2?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=game_subject&utm_campaign=ElectronicArts_2)
Was getting tired of all the garbage being released after Crusade: No Remorse, now they put out three righteously kick-ass games.
**** yes.

DK:2? OMG!
-
Warning ! Check the comments (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dungeon_keeper_2) before ! Maybe it'll be more wise to wait a little bit :(
The game is great. One of the best ever made, in fact. But they way it's ported is horrible. It crashes constantly on Windows 7, sometimes in the middle of gameplay, other times when you press some button.
So, unfortunately, DK2 still needs serious works before it becomes playable. In its current state it should not have been released.
-
Never know until you try, if it borks up on me, oh well. I'll fall back to Wing Commander 1 and 2.
-
Took me exactly 4,3 seconds to complete the purchase after seeing this post :)
-
Actually I've been playing Dungeon Keeper 2 for about two hours now, on Windows 7 and I haven't experienced a single crash.
I think it's just the other users having hardware the game doesn't like since it's apparently working just fine for me.
-
Downloading DK2 as we speak.
I owned the first one but never tried the sequel.

Dont think i was far behind you! Remember playing WC1 when i was nowt but a nipper!!!
-
I wanna see the salamander dancing at the casino again!
-
Well damn, I get PC sounds and music or something on WC1 and 2, whatever it is it's definitely not the sounds I'd hear before. This makes me sad.

You got lucky. I haven't managed to actually use the quit option once yet! Worse still it tends to crash on any attempt to save the game too!

I think you can be helped here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/wing_commander_privateer/wc1_crappy_sound_and_sluggish_mouse (http://www.gog.com/en/forum/wing_commander_privateer/wc1_crappy_sound_and_sluggish_mouse)

It stops the wind chime weapons at least, but I guess I'd only get what I used to hear if it was the Kilrathi Saga versions.
-
i see wing commander talked about so much here but i've never played it. i guess i should now.
-
Best game of its time.

The only down side of DK2 is that I've always had to play it without the 3D acceleration turned on, because it's not compatible with current 3D cards, so all rendering has to be done in software mode. Does this version have the same problem?
-
I hadn't noticed that menu. Doesn't seem to like running with hardware acceleration on when I try it since it makes everything besides the menu text black.
Could be my card though.
-
I think it's everyone's card, it's a well known problem with running DK2 on newer machines, the HW acceleration just won't work, which is a pity, since it had bump-mapping and enhanced lighting. That's probably what is causing all these problems for people, they are turning it on.
-
I have it turned off and I'm still getting the occasional crash on my netbook. It's completely unplayable on my main PC though.
