Title: Ship Concept Art

You guys probably remember the topic from yesterday about my Shivan WorldShip. I went on the IRC chat and a lot of people told me it looked like the SSD Diablo. I was also told that having a lot of spikes did not necessarily make it look "Shivan." So I revised the concept. This is the new version.

I'd like to get feedback from you all. I'm always trying to improve the concept. I won't start modeling it this time until it is sufficiently complete.

still looks like the SSD Diablo :/
its probably those ridiculous multi-km long tailspikes :P

Wow, that big bug looks like something I wouldn't want to fight. I like the concept but as Droid said it's somewhat reminiscent of existing designs...keep working on it and with a few more tweaks I think you'll have something good.  :)

Oh noes! I wanted to keep the Stiletto 1-Style tail spikes the most!

So you don't think the spike wing things on the front make it look like the Diablo?

Either way I think its too "angular" (looks really low-poly like iNFR1 ships XD).
I think shivan spikes should be more curved and jagged, look at the HTL Ravana's spikes.

You can have tailspikes as long as they don't have like, two hard angles and nothing else to their name.

Personally, I don't like it as much as version 2. I liked it when it had the giant spikes on the back. Also, it doesn't look as scary now without the spikes. Can anyone think of a way to fix this?

And I still don't know what to do with those two blank areas at the back. Does anyone have any ideas?

I can't draw for shiiit but here's some general idea to make it look more shivan. (I hope) pretty much try to avoid obviously defined regular-looking angles since between freakish mechanical horror and spacebugswithspikes, none have really regular looking hard chiseled edges like Terran ships.
