so are we gona get a hierarchy editor soon, or could we get all the heder data (moment of inertia ect...)
would be nice id there was a way of editing wich textures go on wich faces, and editing vert normals (thinking of custume shading settings),
and could you get the smoothshading implemented properly already... please :D

I like the sounds of it - but keep in mind that work may have to be done on both FSF (if it continues) and the Source Code Project - both of which are probably more important than this right now :)

Good luck!

Hm I think that someone should also make that program for easier MODing. Is that possible or is it just one of my crazy dreams again?

I don't think there is anyone here who would not want this. ;) :D

What would be really neat is if there was a program with PCS's functionality and MV's interface. ;)

*raises hands* "I surrender!"

heehee, so it was a limp joke, but hey, i try.  In all seriousness, I would like to be able to add hangar doors that slide open and close when ships arrive and depart through the hangar.

*sheepishly raises hand*

okay so i downloaded it from the Alliance Production Website but don't know what to do with the .h and .cpp file to make it work. Do i need C++? if so then a good addition for the future would be to make it as a .exe or sumthing. HOW DO I WORK IT? AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH.

*Rips off his useless arms and throughs them out of the window in a fit of psychoticness*

Sounds like the SDK stuff.  Download the real POF CS instead of the SDK.

I disagree. This is of more immediate importance. FSF is a fair ways off, and the SC project is being handled, seemingly, by other people.

A more complete, feature-rich PCS is definately what is called for, especially since it will help modders now, both new ones and experienced ones.

And in case that wasn't clear, Kazan, that was a distinct endorsement for the project.

soon as my new joystick get's in i'll start getting back into FreeSpace 2 and refamiliarizing wiht the engine... I think i can write support apps and leave the engine code to other people that are more expirienced in game programming.

I can resume working on the renderer, etc

Because you said that, you have my firm support.

Indeed, the only reason I said what I said earlier was because I was under the impression you'd be doing a lot on FSF and so on and considered that a more interesting/priority over an already existant ap, but if it's going to get done anyway and your doing new things then thats mighty cool and I look forward to seeing what you come up with :)
