brand,
Have you posted your texturing techinique? Or is it similar to Scooby's tutorial?
Thanks,
rhettro

I'm pretty sure his is unique, but he has described it loosely before, although perhaps not in a dedicated post.

As I understand it, it's pretty basic and straightforward for Brand:
1: Open Photoshop
2: Become Awesome
3: Draw Textures
There may be one or two steps I've missed here and there, but AFAIK, that's more or less how he works. :D

Haha, yeah that's pretty much it. I have considered doing a texture tutorial at some point, maybe I'll get around to it someday, but as far as I know it is pretty unique, I've never heard of anyone doing it the way I do it.

For some reason I was thinking that you modeled the indentations and then used that as a basis for bumpmap over a second low-poly model. Or I could be just smoking crack.
-
No, I don't use a high-poly/low poly workflow. I only make the low poly, and all the normal mapping is done by hand in photoshop. The method I use also allows me to create normal, shine, diffuse, etc (any map type the model needs) all at the same time.

Cool, thanks for the answer. I noticed that Scooby had posted a year ago that he needs to update his texture tutorial to the new technique he is using.
