Title: Does anyone has the Starlancer Models on his HD ?

Hey People,

I'm in need for inspiration. Does anyone happen to have the Starlancer, and maybe the freelancer models on his HD ? Maybe the textures too ? It would save me the trouble, to fight and search the exporter.
Help would be appreciated :)

And also, any other sites with good ship pictures will help me. I would be glad for some directions where to find.

Thank you :) But I'm in need of the capship models, not the fighters. Anything availabe in that ? I wanted to ask at the source, but it seems lancerreactor forums are down :(

I don't know per se if anybody around here has Starlancer ship models available, or even how to export them, but I know for certain that they can be extracted and worked with. A few years ago, I played with a Freelancer mod that added in a LOT of new ships- the fighters from Starlancer were among the ships added (Phoenix ftw!). Starlancer's got a rather bizarre archive format (.hog, I believe), and while there are extraction programs for that format, the files within are typically strange filetypes as well.

If you're pretty serious about getting your hands on Starlancer's ship models, I'd recommend heading over to the Lancers Reactor (http://www.lancersreactor.org/index.php?page=Portal); those guys collectively know more about Freelancer and Starlancer modding than anybody who isn't from Digital Anvil itself. One of their members was even able to provide me with a program to convert out of the proprietary .fm8 animation format, freeing Starlancer's head animations for public use [/self-plug]. Model extraction and conversion's probably pretty run-of-the-mill for those folks, so again I'd say go bug them for better info.

The SWAT-Team is working on a Full Conversation of Star Lancer on the SCP.
They also did IIRC a Starlancer Mod for Freelancer.

Maybe they can help you.

Oh wait... these aren't 3ds format  :(
