I don't know if this is possible under the current coding but is it possible to disable command only in terms of built-in messages?
A lot of campaigns are set outside of the FS2 era and use for Command someone who is not "that guy". That guy being hte black guy who does all the flight operations in FS2.
I think it would be advantageous to be able to turn that off, while still being able to have on all the wingmen basics like "help me" or "hostiles detected". So far as I know this is not currently posisble.
Or maybe it's possible to change it such that command uses a different head ani by default and uses different default sound waves? It probably is but I've not investigated that. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there.

This is definitely already in there. Check under Mission Specs (Shift-N if memory serves).

There's even a SEXP to do it at will.

Yep, it's under Mission Specs.

And the SEXP you want is the disable-builtin-messages one with #Command as the argument.

And you also have the ability to specify the Command Persona and the Command Sender.
