The only things that strike me as negatives are those exposed pipes, which look a bit silly to me ("I'm a primary conduit for something vital! Shoot me out!"), but other than that it's awesome.

Note, some forums don't like when somebody creates a new thread every time he wants to say something, instead preferring searching and posting in old threads (BI forums, for example).
Could be just old habits from another community.

When it comes to release threads, we don't really have a problem with that here either. The issue here is that the points raised weren't really relevant anymore.

I have another hypothesis.

Boy thinks that more post counts make him better like a few fanboy elitist forums.
