And how is this related to FreeSpace, exactly?
-
You posted on the wrong forum, this one is only for FreeSpace related discussions.
As in "Favorite FreeSpace 1/2 Music".
In which case it's probably the music during the Endgame part 1 cutscene in FreeSpace 2.
-
For me it was that one track in Silent Threat. The one that plays in the briefings of the first and the last mission. Oh, I wish there was an extended version. Roughly one minute doesn't do justice to that track.
-
Without a doubt, m8_nrml3, the backing track for the mission briefings for the McCarthey, Taranis and chasing the Lucifer mission briefings. Wish I could find the sound files for FS2.
-
aren't they just stuffed into the vp/folders under "sound"? :wtf:
-
For me, the battle track in the Freespace demo, it just screams Freespace to me.
-
Joshua :) Especially the second battle track when the tenor comes in with a dramatic flourish.
-
Joshua ( FS2 ) , FS2 Final video music ( FS2 , of course ... ) , Joshua II ( by Darius , FS2:Blue Planet ) , the briefing track from FS1 ( also used in Inferno as a main hall theme ) .
-
Cinema from FS1... I don't know why... :nervous:
-

Actually, the music files are in the warble_fs2.vp and warble_fs1.vp files, in the music folder (duh).
Wish I could find the sound files for FS2.
Get a vp viewer, such as QuickVP and extract the music files from the warble_fs2.vp.
-
Yeah, Cinemia from FS1 had a feeling of discovery and advancement, which made it a good choice for Out of the Dark, Into the Night.
Much of the FS1 battle music was meh, but the command briefing music suited its purpose well during the desperate days of the Shivan invasion. m8_nrml3 is just one example.
And about the FreeSpace demo, which one? IIRC they both used the same music as the main game.
If we want to go non-canon, there's the Blue Planet music (of course :p) and pretty much everything Max has ever laid his hands on. Plus the SoL music that you'll all be hearding soon enough.
-
Joshua I,II and III ;)
As well as the FS2 cinema. The Intro is good as well. Basically I like all of them, but they'd probably be my favourite.
The FS2 battle C music (sounds like that in the intro when the herc is been chased) is only suited to fighting rebels in my opinion, it just isn't Shivan. And battle A reminds me of Vasudans.
There's some high quality music at this site: http://nix1999.shackspace.com/audio That nix got from Dan Wentz, the creator. (In case you didn't know.)
-
Genesis, especially the Ancients one.
-
I liked Hidden and Definitive(both battle music from Inferno)
Personally, I loved Revelations, Joshua, Numbers and Leviticus.
-
Cinema2
-
/me blinks when he sees "Joshua", then remembers that was a FS2 soundtrack.
I only like the last "battle" track from that one though. My favorites are: "Ancients/Genesis". "Deuteronomi", "Mission 4, Normal 3 (Divided Worlds)". "Mission 10 (Dark Side)".
-
Revelation (FS2) In the right mission, t'is the perfect track. Also the .ogg version of one of Inferno's tracks... its name escapes me.
-
I like brief1 from FS1. It's beautifull, relaxing. It's a good one when you are in time of peace.
And the cinema music that can be heard at the briefing room in FS2.
-
Cinema2 from FS2.
-
Also the .ogg version of one of Inferno's tracks... its name escapes me.
IIRC Inferno only used FS1 music and Second Reality splices, so it's probably something you've also heard in Blue Planet.
-
Fav Mission Musics
Spook, Darkside from FS1
Joshua and Leviticus FS2
Deffinitive and Hidden INF (Non-canon but bril music)
Briefing music
Brief 1 & 4 FS1
Brief 4 FS2

-

IIRC Inferno only used FS1 music and Second Reality splices, so it's probably something you've also heard in Blue Planet.
Inferno also had two tracks not (as yet) heard in any other mods, Hidden and Definitive.

Cutscene Music
Ancients Cutscenes Music FS1 --> Could some one tell me where to get these track as wav or mp3 without the Naration
No dice. You can find the FS2 ending music on the old, official website, though. Just look around their downloads. Apparently they weren't so generous with the FS1 tracks.
-
Damn :hopping:
Could some one rip them?
-
My favorite FS music? Uhhh....
The Joshua track, the "Saths nuking the star" ending music is good, and I really like the intro cutscene (FS2) music.
Also: anything from Blue Planet. :D
-
Damn :hopping:
Could some one rip them?
You don't have them yourself? Because you can't rip just the music minus the voice.
If you really want the movie I could email it. Also I remember someone has a link to FS1 movie downloads in their sig.

Thanks for the offer, but Ive got FS1, but i want just the music from the Ancients Cutscenes and FS1 Ending to use as briefing music
