Not if someone posts something useful, which is what I intended to try and do...

Welcome back StarGunner, you've missed a fair bit I think (well a lot's happened in the last couple of months and I honestly can't remember when you actually departed). However...

The source code for Freespace2 was released. It's currently being hacked to pieces by people trying to see what makes the game tick and how we can improve on it - a new joint project between HLP and VW is going to be the focus of this (the forums will be here on HLP and the main site on VW).

Setekh had to leave for personal reasons - nobodies seen him for some time now and nobody knows if he's coming back though I'm assuming he is. In the meantime the staff have been very busy with real life work and so on so not that much has actually changed around here although over the summer we've got a lot of cool ideas that will hopefully give this place a slightly more "alive" feel to it!

Those are the really important bits, with the source code out it's a really optimistic time for FS since it seems to have been given a new lease of life which is a great thing... other than that you'll have to look around the news archives and hosted sites to catch up on all the latest news from each of them. I don't think I've missed anything but I hope this comes in useful :)

Okay, Larva, you've now got a forum and you and Skippy have access to it. Plus you've now got your 158th avatar... And if you wouldn't mind, next time you need something, put it in the "The hosting dilemma..." thread please... :)

And I guess you miss a lot if you aren't at HLP. :D
