Title: Nick change request.
Post by: butter_pat_head on December 02, 2011, 04:36:07 am: Hi. Im just asking if it is possible to get my nick changed. I've been know as 'butter_pat_head' (obscure Red Dwarf ref. FTL) but for the past few years I have been going by the handle of 'Hojo_Norem'. I started using that nick with EVE Online and then spread from that, changing my old nick on whatever boards I could.

Could I please have my nick changed to Hojo_Norem ?

Well, I had to ask at least once, nothing ventured, nothing gained. :)

So I guess that time where you changed my username without my consent about two or three times in rapid succession was a "very good reason"? :P

i know i regged with pecenipicek here. if i ever requested a change tho... i'll be damned :p

A brief and temporary change of a nickname as part of a prank is quite different than a permanent change as part of a forum identity. Feel free to complain about the prank, but don't pretend that it's the same issue as this.

Sorry but it kinda does relate to it, you not changing someone's name because they ask for it and they feel strongly it needs to be done, while you changed mine without my permission and against my will numerous times because you 'thought it was funny'.

Plus, The_Sizzler was a fun name, and you changed it to Popllion or w/e it is now.

That said, I'm definitely a fan of the "No nick changes" policy we've had for ages, however patchily it may have been applied. It's jarring, generally - I lose track of who's who.
