Title: Reticle mod...
Post by: Mr_Blastman on December 09, 2011, 07:43:40 pm
Don't laugh.... I have a hard time finding the reticle with my eyes when a lot of **** is going down onscreen, especially with Track IR enabled, so I'm wondering--is there an easy way I can mod what the reticle looks like to something bigger/fatter/more noticeable to me?

I discovered the same problem with head tracking, it was really hard to keep track of the targeting reticle.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to increase the reticle's size and brightness - what you see here is a script that draws the reticle graphic on the forward vector of the ship. Conversely, the HUD reticle is turned off, and replaced by the scripted one rather than directly modified.

The reticle script should be available as a Blue Planet extra. I think.

Ok, try if this works. Standard mod installation, drop folder in FS2_Open directory, activate with -mod ReticleMod on custom flags field on Launcher.
