Title: Starshatter Models

In the interest of sparking some collaboration between the two communities, here are a bunch of SS models converted into obj. I didn't convert any of the turrets so for those you'll just have to download the game here (http://www.starshattermods.com) and convert them yourself.

For how simple the meshes are the models are all pretty cool. Even so I'd still like to see what Hades or Scooby could come up with if they decided to HTL any of them. :p

Oh cool. I haven't checked the dl so I don't know if the old models are in there too, but I'd be a little nostalgic for those since I played the beta. Hmm, I wonder how you'd model turret capacitors? I guess you could just use a scripting to swap to a lower rate-of-fire version of the weapon after x number of shots, then increment x upward every second that turret isn't firing. Sounds complicated though, since you'd have a separate instance of the script running for each turret. On the other hand, you could just fake it, e.g. a long-delay burst fire gun on one firing point and a moderate delay, non-burst gun on the other firing point.

Can turrets use energy?  Probably not, but I wonder how hard that would be to implement

Turrets can use ammo, but not energy, AFAIK.

that's very nice! also notice the fact that they have honor harrington and star frontier ships in the corresponding mods. Oh the joy!!!

It'd be cooler if we could lure DamoclesX (the artist) out of hiding, though he last posted here in 2005.
