I was wondering if anyone out there knows if a player fighter / bomber can use three primary weapons and four secondary. In short can a player fly and Seraphim?
-
Yes.
EDIT - however, you might want to make sure all of the seraphim's weapons (and the seraphim itself ofc) are "player allowed"

In Tides of Darkness you have to fly all FS2 fighters and the bombers SB Tauvry,SB Seraphim and SB Yali.
The SB Seraphim and the SB Nephilim have 4 secondary slots and the SB Seraphim 3 Primaries.

Many thanks. I was hoping that it was possible. Although the Seraphim was just a convenient example. What I'm up to is mixing the Apollo with the Mara, with two versions. One souped up newer Apollo using the lessons learned from the captured Mara fighters, the other a completely op version with two primaries and a beam weapon.

The Beam was carried by a Yali Beambomber and a fighter laser was carried by a Pegasus in "Unholy Alliance" as i know.
The GTF Ferret was lost and has origin in the WCS.

just wondering...is 3 primary and 4 secondary hardcoded or what? Could you have like, 5 primaries?
-
This is the fighter I am working on. The normal guns will be located at roughly the same location as the old Apollo. The beam will be located in the area above and behind the cockpit.

Yes. A ship can only have up to three primary and four secondary banks.
