Post by: headdie on January 20, 2012, 05:58:46 pm
just hit this article http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/frightening-future-brought-microsoft-081500620.html

Basically goes over some of the potential implications of the xBox Kinect and its next gen development on targeted advertising in the real world, while making comparisons to the film Minority Report

id hate to walk by an ad screen in a mall and have an ad for a penis enlargement product pop up. that would invoke a reaction somewhere between an act of vandalism at and an act of terrorism, depending on what my mood was at the time. if adds get really specific, like targeting fat people with weight loss ads, or bald people with hair restoration ads. the overall effect on public morale and mental health could be rather devastating. hopefully my plans for world destruction come to fruition before crap like this is everywhere.

i hear ya. I'm already getting tired of seeing all these "find singles near you" and "match" ads on HLP. I already miss those full-sail university ads.
