Title: No Yangtze in Delenda Est...
Post by: Crybertrance on January 28, 2012, 05:35:55 am
I finally got around to playing WiH 2 again after the upgrade, everything was working in tip-top condition till I reached 'Delenda Est'. During the entire length of the mission, the UEFg Yangtze doesn't make an appearance, which makes the ending dialog (when the Yangtze talks about warp failure) and the resulting cut-scene (after the Indus warps out) totally weird and glitchy (due to the Yangtze not visible at all). It also doesn't appear in my escort list..
I am using the the 3.14 RC2 build...

Someone, somewhere was saying the RC2 was most compatible with BP2?.

No, you need to use a 3.6.14 build. I recommended skipping RC3 because that one had a pretty serious bug, but RC4 is definitely the one to use.

As for the issue, could be pilot file corruption.

For clarification, that means you'd have to restart the campaign with a new, clean pilot (and/or play from the tech room)

Oooo-khay.... I was petrified to start the campaign all over again... So I downloaded the RC4 and viola! The Yangtze appeared! But however there is one more problem. When you have to encounter and destroy the beams of the Iolanthe and Deianira, I prefer to disable them first...However, when the Deianira is destroyed there is a crash! This used to not happen on RC2... It even crashes if you ~k the Deianira. Any help please...

Can't help if you don't post a debug build of you playing until it crashes.

Well if I try running the mission in Debug mode I just get this error infinitely (cannot resume the game until you "Cancel") just shortly after the mission loads....

Code: [Select]
Turret turret51 on ship Indus has no firing points assigned to it.
This needs to be fixed in the model.

Please redownload bp2-visuals1.vp to correct this issue.
