Title: Half-Life 2: Capture the Flag version 2.1 (just need a free Steam account)

- .exe Windows installer (http://www.gameupdates.org/details.php?id=4961) (smaller, easier if you have Windows)

- .zip archive (http://www.gameupdates.org/details.php?id=4967)

Will update this post later with more details as I'm at work now and the filters get mad if I try to go to game related sites (got into gameupdates by finding the IP and opening it that way).

~380 MB for the .exe version; ~390 for the .zip version.  There's detailed instructions if you follow the links (including links to the main HL2:CTF page (http://www.hl2ctf.com/) if you are scared of .torrents or can't get them to work in your situation).

Requirements:


HL2:CTF YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/hl2ctf/) (gameplay footage)

Forums (http://forums.hl2ctf.net/)

wiki (http://www.hl2ctf.org/wiki)

There are built-in tutorials in the game if you need them.

If you have problems, I copied solutions to a couple of common problems to the end of the torrent descriptions, or you can just to to the support section of the forums and read the pinned articles if you have problems.

You probably should friend some people on Steam who have the game at least until the servers get more players, that way you know when someone else is on.  There is a thread on their forum with their Steam user profiles here (http://forums.hl2ctf.net/index.php?showtopic=4531); you could also post 'em here if you want.

Actually, it runs on Source SDK AFAIK, and that is downloaded automatically from Steam when you run the mod.  Confirmation on this, anyone?

2nd result.  I'd post the link but I'm at work using a computer that the right button on the mouse doesn't work and there's no context menu button on the keyboard, and I can't load the site due to the restrictive security policies.  :rolleyes:

EDIT2: Runs just fine on my wife's computer with Steam being the only thing installed.  HL2:CTF automatically causes Steam to download Source 2006 SDK and then it runs fine.

you just need a free steam account, so you dont need HL2 ?
