Title: Anti-spam deletion
Post by: Liberator on March 01, 2012, 03:25:13 pm
A couple weeks ago, a friend of mine, who I've talking up the projects going on around here with, registered an account to get help with an odd error with the SCP.  Suffice to say, after speaking with Kara, we think it was deleted as a suspected spam account, which it obviously is not.  At some point in the near future, hopeeagle75 will re-register with that name and I hope someone sees this and approves him instead of deleting it again.

We really need a legitimate anti-spam system, and soon.  There are way too many names like that one that could be accidentally misconstrued as a bot.

Given that both WCS and Diaspora are getting close to a release, yes we do. Both of those are going to draw in massive numbers of people from outside the community and it would suck massively if people with legitimate technical problems end up in limbo.
