Hello , My help that i need is if someone or people can please give me a list of files i will need to make my Freespace2 look as sexcy as i possibly can
I Have downloaded and installed it a few times with a great many of problems "Crash's" Graphical issues"
Steps i have taken:
-Downloaded game from GOG.com
-Downloaded installer
-Pointed installer to folder defult install "Freespace2"
-Clicked the "Install the works" box and allowed it to finish
At this point i need guidence.. Blueplanet keeps crashing when i try to lunch campaine "Exsample of simular issues"
System specs: Windows7 64 Bit
i7 2600k @4.3ghz
2xHD6990 AMD Videocards
Sabertooth p67 MB
8Gigz Ram @1600Mhz
System is fully Cooled/ Ventulated not a heating problem Stable Temps

I have also done this but it did not resolve the problem like it states it should

Move your whole FreeSpace 2 directory to C:\Games\ as a start.

Is the location a problem? My C: drive is a Dedicated OS Drive

Okay it is now changed to "E:\Games\Freespace 2" what next?

I'm not sure. Does the game launch any better if you disable the -window option?
Have you tried using 3.6.14 RC5 instead of 3.6.12?

i do not have a "3.6.14 RC5" i did a serch for this and found this page. but there is 3 versions of the file and i dont understand all the stuff the pages are trying to exsplain :(. Do you know what file i need to download?

If i have done this right
Copy past the files in the zipped folder into the Freespace 2 folder
open Luncher 5.5f
Click brous select " "3.6.14 RC5"
And i get "FS2 luncher has stopped working" - then it asks me to close the program :(

Update: I can run Onl blue planet now and not defult Freespace2 campaine but it gave me a warning that it coused 80 something errors

You should be able to ignore those 80 errors - they're caused by a problem with the build, not a problem with Blue Planet.
Let's move on to trying to fix your default FreeSpace 2 campaign. What kind of log do you get if you run with only MediaVPs_3612 selected?

How am i to be lunching the game now?
If i attemp to use "3.6.14 RC5" THE LAUNCHER 5.5f Stopps working and the 'Would you like windows to serch for a solution to the problem" window pops up
If i double click 3.6.14 RC5 with out the luncher the game will start but i dont think anything is loaded and its Vinilla FS2

There should be a newer version of the Launcher available - I believe there's a 5.5g.

If you are accidentally using the same pilot for the regular FS2 campaign AND Blue Planet, please create separate pilots for them. I'm guessing you just switched mods from the Launcher and then tried to continue the campaign. Which means that you are trying to play Blue Planet even though you don't have Blue Planet as an active mod. And that will never work.

It Still crash's, the Tech room couses crash aswell as atemptine to lunch a missio. is it possible im missing something. Im really kinda flying blind here :(

Hmm.... What did you use to unpack FS2_open 3.6.14 RC5? Can you test the archive to make sure it was not corrupted during download? With 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org), that's right-click > 7-zip > Test archive

That should work the same, yes, (IIRC, in WinRAR, use the "test" button after you open it, not sure if WinRAR has added a context menu item such as 7-zip > Test archive yet).
It looks like you found it, however, and according to WinRAR, nothing's wrong with the archive, so unless the exe itself was corrupt before putting it in the archive.. (I doubt that, we would most likely be having complaints from other users).
BUT, you can install HashTab (http://implbits.com/HashTab.aspx) (available for Windows and Mac), and then right-click on the 3.6.14 RC 5 .exe and then select "File Hashes", and post the MD5 hash of the file here (right-click it in the pane and click "Copy"), then we can compare it and be certain it is precisely the same file that everyone else is using.

EDIT: BTW, you have to close and re-open Windows Explorer after installing HashTab or it won't show the File Hashes tab.
