Don't suppose I can be boring and go with the Falcon. :p
Next Gen ran from when I was three until I was ten, and I never missed an episode. How could I not post the Enterprise-D?

Truth be told, the Galaxy-class actually looks pretty derpy without the show's careful hiding of this via camera angles. :/
Besides...
[Defiant]
To me, if Starfleet was going to design a ship to fight the Borg, it would have come out a lot more like the Sovereign than the Defiant. For starters, the Sovereign looks more like an evolution of Starfleet technology, while the Defiant looks like it started completely from scratch. Beyond that, though, the Sovereign class could clearly push deep into unknown territory, looking for Borg targets to attack, fulfilling both the need to deal with the Borg and Starfleet's exploration mandate. The Defiant class, while combat capable, pretty clearly isn't meant to be away from support facilities for extended periods. The Defiant was mothballed before it appeared on DS9, Starfleet just couldn't get it to work right. Soft cannon suggests that the Akira class was then designed to fill it's role.
Also, in it's one fight against the Borg, the very beings it was designed to combat, the Defiant was pretty soundly beaten.

Just love the vintage look of these two... Remember when we were gonna have dependable space shuttle services (no pun intended) by 2001? Good times...
Since we're going outside Freespace for ships...

(For those who haven't seen Gunbuster, that thing's several times the size of Jupiter.)

Sajuuk will always be one of my favorite starships:
anyone ever notice how similar the rotating section of the b5 omega is to one on the russian ship from 2010?
Starslayer I really hope you got a chance to play PDS during the days when it was good.
That's not a classic. That's cringeworthy patriotic garbage.
It's the classic UFO design I was referring to. Independence Day's UFO just looked cool so I used that
Cydonia or bust
Cydonia or bust
God speed.
God help you if the bleeders fire off a couple blaster rounds early on the surface mission

Classic UFO design? Don't look further than this..
It's funny since most of the fake UFO sighting photographs which used photoshop seem to have this uncanny resemblance to that particular design
