Title: Freespace2 Errors (Apologies in advance)

I purchased a copy of Freespace 2 from GoG.com

I found a few of "Turney's"(sp?) walkthrough on this forum and others, and from what I believe, I followed the instructions closely.

I installed the game into directory C:\Games\Freespace2\

I downloaded and installed the windows Installer

I ran the installer and allowed it to update. As suggested I ran the installer twice after in case anything installed incorrectly.

I installed OpenAl for windows.

I made sure to run the installer into the aforementioned directory, and made sure there was no C:\games\freespace2\freespace 2 as mentioned in another person's post.

I still have no idea what it is I'm doing wrong.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit if that matters, and am more than willing to provide pictures of what the contents are of any related folders.

The installer is unfortunately broken right now, you'll have to go for a manual install.

Stick with it, though, it's worth it!

Exactly what problem are you getting right now? You never specified exactly what's going wrong.

e: One big problem I see there is that there are no actual FreeSpace 2 files in that directory. Looks like it installed somewhere else.

Odd that it isn't in there now, will remove and reinstall the files again. Is there a particular walkthrough I should follow?

Okay, it's currently running.

Truly appreciated, I'd hate to think that I snipped all those images for nothing, so here's what I clipped as I installed. (Figured it might have shown my errors, to those who know better.)

It seems like you did everything right.  If something goes wrong, just post again.
