I like it, :yes: but maybe it could have a bit more shooting and probably a capship (not needed). :)
 
And Erinyes is shooting with, what? And with only 2 guns... not that it matters. :D

Get rid of lens flare
reduce motion blur on the middle shivan fighter
extend nebula backgroudn slightly and you got one killer desktop image

I think the lens flare is fine in this one, and the motion blur is good too.
 
About nebula, it's fine the way it is, and it wouldn't make it worse or better if it would be larger.
 
But those are my opinions, only. :p

Looks good. Just delete the outer ring of the sun, unblur the text and it will be perfect. :p

Its not that lens flares are bad.. its that one specific lens flare that is bad..

I'd get rid of the lens flare and blur the two side Manticores a bit more. A little plain but good.

lensflare=good....

guns...the Erinyes as 2 banks of 4 primary mounts, so i suggest either go with 4 lasers at a time or 8...4 would probably look better.

i'm only using TS2 so its the best way for me of representing a sun.

But i like it:)  Get rid of the halo and you have a sun that looks better. and move it abit to the top left corner;) Otherwise great work !:)

Hours !?!? Are you rendering it in 4xAA? if so use adeptive anti-aliasing works fine whit out to muc loss of quality.

Only the halo needs to be dumped, try a diferent color and position;)

the halo is added using photoshop, TS2 does't have lens flare or adapitve AA.

It iant that hard and time consuming to remove the halo?, i did that kinda stuff in a few min.

Halo's for renders are not good it makes a good pic look bad;).
But thats my opinion.

And LT your post is total spam just stop whit that, this is a art forum no spam forum, as you proberly already noticed so instead of wining about who is right or wrong give some constructive critisim.

note the difference, and photoshop lenseflares do look good; even if ones done in lightwave are better

I was talking about the STANDARD photoshop flares there is a plugin that makes prety nice flares.

Yes.. the basic Photoshop flares are fugly...
This flare is also one done with Photoshop, it was with a plugin by Axion iirc...
