Will the BP reference bible be published?

At some point, we may release a version of it. However, we prefer to do our storytelling "in universe", meaning via fiction viewer texts, tech entries, or in-mission dialogue.

This would be great.
It is a nice thing, that with each update, the techroom sections for ships, weapons and historic background is growing, but after reading the whole thing, my eyes were kind of...dizzy.
But still, I love the background :)

Personally I would love to see it... after the team have finished with the first story arc (If a second is planned then whoop!!! and stuff relating to that should be cut out of the release version) that way we get to see what the team have planned the way they planned it without interference while allowing people like me who want to see what was going off in the background.

I'd love to see this but only after the whole thing is finished or (gods forbid) abandoned.

I'd be delighted to see it released - Would be interesting to see the entire BP universe.

That would be great at some point in the future. For example when they'll release Blue Planet Trilogy: The Limited Final UltraHD Special Director's Cut Edition of Doom, a reference bible would be an ideal bonus item :D

... or a $9.99 DLC :P

I guess it has it's ups and downs.
On one side, you have everything in one place, but on the other hand, you might end up spoiling new players. For example there is plenty material analyzing the war and it's reasons. A war that comes as a big surprise at the end of AoA.
I remember how surprised and even shocked I was, when we finally made it to earth, only to see everything we hoped for going up in flames. Knowing up ahead that this moment would come, would have ruined any emotional impact of that moment, and being the backstory junky I am, I'm pretty sure I would have read all freely available stuff before playing, unless it came with a big fat spoiler warning.

Maybe you could split it in three time periods, so to say and advice the reader to only read each part after finishing playing through the previous chapter ingame. That way new players at least will only bring it down on themselfs, rather than accidentally spoiling themselfs.

I think that's up to the new player, he or she chooses explicitly to look in the thing.

I'd love to see this but only after the whole thing is finished or (gods forbid) abandoned.
Me too, but I think it's right to give the freedom to the creative peeps that envisioned the thing, it's their child.

It's not necessarily up to the player.
For example someone might decide to read only the ship tech-describtions and deliberately avoid reading plot related articles. But then he reads in the Nyx's tech entry how it was pressed into service, because the UEF caused so heavy losses among the GTVA fighters.
Or maybe they want to read only the articles that explain what happened before the 14th was sent through the portal and suddenly reads about a war between the UEF and GTVA, because there was no split between the chapter background information and ends up spoiling himself, even though he didn't intend to read that far.

Never having seen it, I can't really tell if it is that way right now, but considering the current reference bible is a tool for storywriting, and not intended for public viewing (as far as I know), it might very well be like that. And just saying "only read this if you played through all three parts of BP isn't exactly a good solution either.

Aren't all the BP2-related techroom entries only unlocked after Artemis Station?

If you don't get that a comprehensive design document for a project might give away.... everything, then you've kind of earned your spoilers.
