is there a way to make textures on a ship visible in PCS 2.0.3? I wanna see the textures I'm applying, but they only show the gray blob on the ship still (even after hitting reload textures). is there anything I can do to get them to show? it's gonna be hard texturing and NOT seeing the results.

You may need to go to options->preferences and then add the path to the folder where your textures are. At this point, PCS2 supports BMP, PCX, PNG, JPG, and DDS.
BTW, why is this posted in General FS discussion?

had no idea where to post it. bad place too?
I will give that a try a second try. I thought I did that before, still may need a second look. thx
UPDATE: that didn't work :-\ I changed the paths, I uploaded all the retail maps to my maps folder in my mod. nothing.

Is this on a model you made or on an existing model?

And just to clarify, when adding texture paths in options->preferences, you need to add the mod directory, not the mod/data/maps directory.

existing model and models I'm trying to retexture. and I'm gonna write down the paths from my old computer's PCS2 (they work fine) and add them to my new PCS2. there was a lot I was missing, so I'll work on it later. thx guys!

Keep the model in the same folder as textures. No matter where. It can be just a folder on Your deskop.

got it working. thanks guys!! I just wasn't pathing right
