Title: Watertest
Post by: Ace on June 06, 2002, 06:18:01 pm
(http://www.adamantpacified.org/grafix/water.jpg)

I was at first going to try rendering water with heavy rainfall and stormy weather (like that planet in SW: AoTC) however it soon turned into this.

Now I need to figure out how to do plant life like Venoms!!! :p

Edit-Changed the image, only 1/2 the original size now but I'm happier with how this looks.

Get a tree generator. There's some demo for one, ports to 3DS MAZ, floating around somewhere.

It's meant to be blurry, you're talking about water and a bright sun.

The image is there dude, and I don't know what the rest of you are fussing about - I think it looks great! There won't be a sun in it, look at the angle of the light falling on the clouds - it comes from off screen. Blurriness of the water can also be attributed to sea mist. It isn't even that blurry!

All I can say is that that looks very real, good job :)

Thunder Edit: Removed quoted image... we don't need to see it shown twice on each thread...

Bout time it was done like that. Its annoying when you click a thread and the same image is quoted 15 times.

I also don't like it when a pic is quoted 56.000 times it's annoying.

:D   Looks great.  Will you be able to put in the Kamino structres as well?  That would look really cool, and even better if Slave1 could be seen escaping the planet.

Hm, what did you use to make that? MAX?

Yeah, trying to learn Max...

Those Kamino structures I did like, though my "mad max skillz" are no where near good enough to do something like that :p
