Title: another question
Post by: --Steve-O-- on May 09, 2012, 05:27:08 pm
ok, does a models base map transparency affect the glow map as well? think of holographic like display panels. i want the base mostly transparent, and the glow map to act as the hologram. i know how to do via conventional means im just looking a way to be able to shut off the holograph when you kill the glow maps and not have a visible texture still floating there you know,  good for a disabled affect on a fighter.

Yes, that's possible. Just have a full alpha channel for the display part and a normal glowmap on top of it.
