I seem to have lost my nodes. I can get a Volition Bravo up on the selection menu thingy for some reason but I can't make nodes or give anything a waypoint command. The node ain't in the ships.tbl. I've tried re-extracting the tbl files but they're all exactly the same. Any suggestions?
Also, is that ship precedence thingy supposed to be at the bottom of the table? Only I've never noticed it before.

It's always been there, yes.
Dunno about your node problem, though. Have you got too many blank entries (the ones that let you de-select jump nodes and waypoints). Other than that, I am  - though you should be able to download clean tables from someone to fix it.

Jump nodes never have been in the ships.tbl, have they?
Perhaps you've somehow de-patched your game, as you only get nodes once you've installed the patch.

The original version of FS2 had this bug; if anyone was around in the old 1999 VBB days, you might remember that many people were complaining about it back then. ;) This can be fixed by just getting the patch or by right clicking in the main window and selecting the jump node from the list of objects in there.

Yeah, they've never been there, and you can't place those jump nodes in 1.0, but was there a bug also with waypoints? An0n can't use even waypoints.
I have gold edition, which is 1.2 so I don't know...
Edit: Have you reinstalled the game lately, and forgot to patch it? Check the version...

waypoints are hard coded into the game code, so unless youve changed the engine they should still be there... jump nodes can be lost if the VPs have become damaged or corrupt, reinstalling and patching the game might help. Try the waypoint work around (right click on the main working area, select ship type -> jump node.)

Trust the force, an0n. Trust your feelings. Become one with the force. Only then will you find your jump nodes....

I remember back when I was still at Version 1.0; no nodes and no Volition Bravos. Funny thing is that when I deleted the "no Fred" tag for the Bravos in the ships.tbl, the jump node and the Bravos appeared. Funny...

I could get the Bravo's but nothng waypoint related.
