Title: Ogg video file
Post by: emi_100 on May 13, 2012, 09:56:20 pm
I saw that TBP has Ogg video file as movies.
I want to know how to convert a video format (avi, mpeg, mp4) to Ogg.

(You may move this topic, fell free to do so)

On a (somewhat) similar note, is there any way to convert the .oggs in the .vps into .mp3s or anything similar? Online converters don't work, installing new codexs (or whatever they're called) didn't work.  :blah:

Audio-only files?  You could use http://www.freac.org/

Or install audacity, although I think sometimes ogg to mp3 musics get truncated.

Ok.. this program is very buggy on Windows 7.
I found a practical solution, VLC player. It can convert with out no problems to *.ogg video file.

Are there others video formats that FS engine supports?

.MVE, which is the retail FS2 format, is the only other supported video format. Do not bother trying to find encoders for it, because ogg theora is superior in every way.
