Looks interesting, and it's free so I'll grab it. Looks like there's a Steam copy coming out too.

You're right, it does look interesting. I'll probably wait 'till tomorrow to grab it on Steam, some part of me feels weird playing it inside Chrome. Well, that and I need an excuse to not waste my day off when I could be getting other things done.

Intriguing. Sad that there isn't any glide/sidethrust functionality, but you can't have everything. :)

Arena Style multiplayer online game, revolving around spending real $$$ to evermore upgrade your ship, and designed to run in a web browser. (Google Chrome webstore also has it.)
... mixed feelings.

Anyone tried it yet?
-
Waiting for the steam version of Moonbreakers to come out before I grab it.
-
I tried it on Chrome, it was ok. The simplistic flight model was eh, and I got a lot of lag. I'm waiting until the Steam version comes out before I pass judgement.
-
Steam version is up. At least in Canada. Trying shortly.
EDIT: Alright, it's definitely not bad, but.... No way to full-screen, a bit crashy doing any upgrades to your ship/communicating with Ubernet main servers, but despite being on a distinctly mediocre DSL connection my lag was quite manageable. Something I would play more than once.

Free? Sounds awesome~

I tried it a while back. My first game was almost fun, since I could either fly around in a fighter not really accomplishing anything, or grab a bomber and do a little damage to a single turret before dying. I managed to take down a turret or two, but there didn't seem to be any level of teamwork going on so killing a carrier was impossible.
On my second game, there was a single guy who was like level 250 surrounded by no one greater than level 15. He flew his bomber right up to our carrier and bombed it until it was dead while a dozen fighter and turret guns failed to even damage him.

I played it, it's...ok. I mean I guess maybe I'm just not getting the hang of it? But there doesn't seem to be much in the way of tactics, it's kind of just pew pew pew at people until someone starts pew pew pewing at you, and then you turn around as fast as you can and start doing head ons until someone dies.
The ship design is really cool, and it didn't leave a terrible impression so I'll probably keep exploring it.

any cap-ship battles?
-
Not that I've seen so far. It's fighters vs. fighters and bombers vs. big ships. The game modes are cool, tvt, capture the flag, etc.
After playing it a bit more I think I'll probably play longer. It's fun and it does have inertia, so you do have to factor in your momentum a bit as you do slide in the turns. I don't know if joystick is supported though, or gamepads; anyone got an idea?

"Freemium" I believe... which is everything but "free". ;)
