Would it be possible to allow embedding of this site? (http://p3d.in)
The positive implications are obvious. We'd get the ability to show off our finished meshes and models in a brand new and useful way. On their FAQ (http://p3d.in/faq) they say they allow embedding and even talk about forums that have used tags instead of HTML.
As an example, what if Axem (http://p3d.in/u/Axem) could embed his Rahu (http://p3d.in/BQW0p) or Mephisto (http://p3d.in/vQ3re) models in FSU?
Please, please, pretty please?

(this would work better with embedding too, but P3D is better)

My name is MatthTheGeek and I support this request.

If someone's investigating this for the forum, might we also look into implementing it wikiside as well?
-
I'll look into it. (The P3D thing)
And I'll keep an eye out for Wiki integration as well.
-
Any news on this front? It is mighty, mighty useful.
-
This is something I really would like to see implemented, so please with cute kittens in a basket. c:
-
It is nice :)

:bump:
Any news ?

Indeed, this could be very useful for me.

Uh, like this?
Shivan Rahu Gas Miner WIP (View in 3D (http://p3d.in/BQW0p))
(http://p3d.in/model_data/snapshot/BQW0p) (http://p3d.in/BQW0p)
Doesn't embed the full model, which should be just fine. I'd hate to load 10 of those in a page when I don't want to view them. This includes a link to open the model in another page in full.

Aaaand it works on my Xperia S. It is a good day... Thanks ICS <3
-
Still looking into this, haven't forgotten it, it's just not easy when there is only 24hrs in a day.

Y'all need to leard to ask the right person.... ;) j/k

You don't have to...
...no, really... you don't. Stop it. Hey!
;)
You're welcome. :)
-
Now THIS is the best kind of forum improvement there is!
Great work, Sandwich, I was hoping for this for a long time!
-
Yay for embedded P3D! \o/
-
It's probably a bit much to ask, but this could work very well for wiki :nervous:

I bet it would, but I have no idea how to modify the Wiki in the same way that I did the forums.

Hm... Unfortunately not working here on Firefox 22.0. I see only a big blank post under the code-tag by you, Sandwich. I can move something when I click and move the mouse on that blank page, but I see nothing displayed.
-
Nothing on their site is loading for me, not in Firefox, nor in Chrome. It's probably temporary.
-
Seems to be loading just fine for me right now.
-
I dont know if it's related but some graphics cards seem to have issues with p3d, the cheap ATI in this vista area laptop for example will only display wireframes from p3d.
-
Now it's loading just fine. Though the zoom in and out feature is a bit buggy. When you try to zoom in you also scroll up and the other way around when scrolling down.

its annoying when i scroll down and get my mouse hooked on a p3d window... ah well, joys of full-width forum theme.

I'm pretty sure there's an option for you to switch your layout to not be full-width.

i'm pretty sure i will never use that option :p
(i hate the non-full width layout, so there.)

Just keep your cursor out of the post area when you're scrolling. :p

pretty much what i'm doing but i still get caught on it sometimes :p
and in any case, its better than getting caught on the scrolling signature.
