I just recieved an email from one of the more active members of the old site. He is trying to register here, but his email addresses keep getting flogged as spam. Does anyone know if there is a way to over=ride this and let him register his email addresses are..
[email protected]
[email protected]
Thanks!

Yes, you should ask admins to manually authorize him. This kind of issue has become frequent since we had to reinforce our anti-spammer measures following a huge wave of spammer registrations.
I reported your post so a moderator should be able to move it to a subforum that should get the admins' attention on this.

The issue isn't that. We stopped needing to authorise new users about a month ago. This is something else. I'm just not certain what.

his email addresses are..
e-mail addresses
Thanks!
Hey, FYI, if you post e-mail addresses in plain text like that, all kinds of internet bots can harvest them to send tons of SPAM. (I know, I posted my e-mail address in plain text once.)
It's usually better to post them like this:
username <at> yahoo <dot> com
-
username <at> yahoo <dot> com
No serious bot is going to have any trouble parsing the above either, though. :)
-
Yeah, you could always:
username
<at>
yahoo
~~~<<<<{{{dot}}}>>>>~~~~
com
Is there any way to manuallly register one of his email addresses?
-
Can't you ask him for his preferred username, register his account with one of your own e-mail addresses, make a temp password, give it to him, and then he can change his e-mail address and password to his account? (You can change both under Profile > Account Settings).
Probably. What username is he trying to register under?
-
I am sure he will want to use the name Lucan. Thanks very much for looking into this for us. I appreciate it.
Okay, Manually registered.
