次元のエクリプス - Dimensional Eclipse is what I describe as high-manoeuvrability mod, where all fighters have glide/sidethrust/reverse AB, and can move around at around 300m/s at top speed. This provides a flavour of combat completely different from that of traditional FreeSpace 2 campaigns, taking place over larger distances, and being much faster in general. It is set in a universe entirely unrelated to FreeSpace 2's in order to have more freedom for the new mechanics, following in the flavour of Wings of Dawn, being anime-inspired.
Design Philosophy:
In designing Dimensional Eclipse, I prioritized having different and interesting gameplay elements over storytelling, or assets (tough I do try to be at least presentable in those). The mod largely uses a collection of public assets, and other specific need-based things created by myself on the spot to suit specific mission needs. Seeing as both AndrewofDoom and I can both Model, UV, Texture, and table in whatever model is necessary, there is no need to ever wait on anyone for asset progress, keeping progress fluid and adaptable.

Moddb page for now. If you want me to make an actual full webpage, I'll make one but it will take quite some time (seeing as I'm working full-time over the summer).
Other Info:
To show progress, you can download the campaign here (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=80655.0), which contains Chapters 1 through 3 (28 missions). I hope that doesn't disqualify us from hosting, since, well, it's released. (We also beat the odds, it seems, as our SVN was opened Feburary 17th, 2011. We took just over a year and a half...while being full-time second/third year university students.)
All we need is 1 (one) Public Board for people to spam/talk about random stuff in, and 1 (one) Private Board for [REDACTED]. We have SVN covered, thanks to FSmods.net for that. (shoutout to Swantz for taking us in when we only had 6 missions or so)
Also, can we have this for our badger should we get approved?

Ari~
If I missed anything required, please let me know!
P.S. just call the forums Dimensional Eclipse, it'd look weird and offend my OCD if there was suddenly one forum with NON ENGLISH TEXT in the main title.
Something like:
Dimensional Eclipse
次元のエクリプス - Dimensional Eclipse, an anime themed mod featuring high speed, fast paced, high stakes gameplay.

(if you want to get my crap out of Missions and Campaigns)
PPS. If you want to see our design docs (god knows why, I mean, we released the campaign already) including a project outline, PM me. ;)
PPPS. I promise I won't do any of that bait and switch bull**** ever again.

So you guys are working on an expansion pack or something for Dimensional Eclipse?
-
most likely
-
In a highly likely sense, yes. :p
-
I've already told Droid on IRC that this has my backing. The fact that you've already released once is actually more of a reason why we should host you, not less.
-
So kara is the only one who supports this? :(
-
If you haven't played this mod yet you suck. It's as innovative as any other mod I have seen with lots of whirly gimmicks.

Teams are overrated. They do stupid things.
Changed your mind, huh? :p
-
It's not really a team.
It's more of just me and two Minions who throw random stuff and suggestions at me. :P
Hey it works.
And we did do stupid things, ever hear of the dumb release stunt we tried? I assure you I will clamp down so that doesn't happen again...i hope...
-
I'm insulted Droid. I thought I meant more to you! :(
...Not too much more though.
-
I support this as well.
-
And me, for whatever I can contribute.

(We also beat the odds, it seems, as our SVN was opened Feburary 17th, 2011. We took just over a year and a half...while being full-time second/third year university students.)
Well done. This seems to be a historical trend; if campaigns aren't completed in about a year (ish) of work, they are liable to take much, much longer.
Based on the community feedback (and the very salient point that it's actually released), I support this hosting request. That makes two admins, so I think I'll go ahead and set up the forums.

Most grateful thanks, sir.

Thank you Goober.
Also oh you Goober. :p
