Hey everyone:
Ltnarol did a test map for the upcoming ITA/VE War Total Conversion, this test is without adding modded ships, just using normal FS2 ships.
The problem is when myself (and LtNarol) try to commit at the mission sim menu, it kicks us out, and doesn't begin to load the mission :mad:
E-mail me or Ltnarol for the mission. And give back possible explanations for why this is occuring.

My email is [email protected] for the few of you who dont yet know....I suspect it to be too many objects for FS2 to handle while not being too many for Fred2. My second thought is that this is a Sexp conflict, but that should atleast load the mission.

How many ships do you have in the mission? How many capships?

3 destroyers
I think 5 corvettes
and 9 cruisers
and a whole **** load of fighter wings (they get repawned)
I have a feeling it's tooooooo many fighters, or cap ships
anyways, if you want the mission, I have it too, but this version is simplified (less fighters per wing, and less enemy wings)

Im pretty certain its a sexp conflict now, problem is i dont have time to sort it all out as im leaving for 3 weeks tomorrow...the reason why i think its sexps is that the mission doesnt even load, too many objects and the game will kick you out (or freeze) when you commit to enter the mission. The other possibility is that the file is corrupted, in which case the mission will have to be rebuilt.

nope, exactly the same thing happened to me once, the ship limit for FRED is 99 and it wount let you exceed this. However with new wings spawning in this will be exceeded so for some reason FS can figure this out and wount let you do it. You should only need to delete one or two less vital wings or you can adjust the spawn threshold and num of wings accordingly.

ah, thanks...but the thing is i've gotten far more fighters in before, but we'll see.
