we future now

Somehow I doubt any of us will ever be able to afford this anytime soon.
Seeing how we apparently have mechs now, there is probably already is a militarized version of this designed for actual dangerous situations. A giant robot would just be too much of a target on the battlefield, but it would be ideal for riot suppression, and those 'harmless weapons' could easily be swapped out for something genuinely dangerous.
A more benign use for this technology would be to assist handicapped people who can't walk on their own, or for heavy lifting, or even sporting events, but we all know that this new technology in fact won't be used in a beneficial way.

id rather spend it on crack and whores.

I call BS.
Oh, and BTW, gasoline-fueled engines are NOT diesel engines... lolwtf.
And "from time to time, it will hit it's target".
Actually, upon watching this, I'm pretty sure you are all aware of this.
So... :wtf:

Might make a good forklift...

Am i the only one who's getting Fallout Securitron vibe from that? :p

Nope. :nervous:

Yeah, the Gatling gun and the "Rocket launcher" give it that Securitron feel... but the fact that it caries a human inside detracts from it a bit.
Now, if they where to make a Robobrain model... :drevil:

Well the device in question obviously isn't meant to be handled in the manner that 100% of its market-base would. Watch the time-lapse section for raising the body, and the warnings they give. I'm willing to bet that it tips over quite often.

I bet it's a "concept" model built by a group of hobbiest, who maybe made the video as a sort of joke. :P
The on-board computer should have had a ride-height control that would prevent the driver/pilot from running at dangerous heights vs ground slope and terrain smoothness.

The stationary model seems real, but the lighting feels off on the moving one. Look's pretty cool, though.

I welcome our future mecha bushido overlords with open arms and crates of Tentacle Grape (http://tentaclegrape.com/about/).

I second this.

I'm 99.9% sure the moving model is CG.
