Don't know who's even paying attention, but we're one month out and they've got the cinematic trailer out.

When I saw it, I said, "Wait a minute. I've seen this movie before."
I'd like to see DreamWorks sue Blizzard for ripping off Kung Fu Panda, that would be some high-quality lulz. Whether they actually did, well, YMMV. But the similarity is uncanny.

Well, Blizzard has been featuring Pandaren since Frozen Throne (2003). Kung Fu Panda was released in 2008.
If anything it should be Blizzard suing them for stealing the "panda does kung fu" idea.
Also, typo in title spotted.

Meh.. WoW does aabsolutely nothing for me and I never liked Blizzards visual style and ideas anyway....so...

A point, yes, but production of Kung Fu Panda started in 2004 - the idea was pitched probably a few years before that. Who knows. I actually don't care which way the lawsuit goes, it would be entertaining to watch, mostly because either way there's a chance Blizzard loses, and there's not a game company on this planet that I'd like to see fall on their face more than Blizzard. :D

Haters gotta hate.
I actually love Blizzard for one, simple and unchallengeable reason : they never got anywhere near consoles. ^5 Blizzard.

This is true. They've remained loyal to the platform and that's a good thing. But right now I think they're taking advantage of all the good will they've built up. Or, perhaps Activision is. Ah, well. Nothing good lasts forever. I dislike Blizzard so much because I used to love them.
OT: the MoP cinematic is quality, that's for sure. They've always had excellent cinematics. I just lost interest in WoW shortly after Cataclysm came out. I probably won't even try MoP, unless some friends of mine give it a really huge thumbs up. I'm sure it'll be up to Blizzard's usual standards, but I think everyone noticed when they pulled their "A" team off of WoW to work on their Titan project, whatever it is.

StarCraft: Ghost mean anything to you? It was planned for console only release but than it was scrapped...
EDIT: Someone also reminded me that SC1 came out on N64 ...
EDIT2: http://eu.blizzard.com/de-de/games/legacy/ ... facts right from the source: 3 games on consoles prior to Warcraft

yep and you think WC3 was developed overnight? I bet there was a good year or two development time in there, so good luck proving idea stealing unless there was communication between the two wildly separate projects or someone moved between them, end of the day no case to answer.

EA and Microsoft's gaming arm are much higher on my wish to fail list. TBH with WC1-3, SC and Diablo franchises Blizzard have earned themselves a lot of favour with me and so far they have yet to make me feel screwed over (I have never touched WoW so it hasn't coloured my perspective either way)
-
My own vision of Blizzard is limited to the Diablo trilogy and the Warcraft trilogy. Only good stuff for me to remember about in there.
-
Well, the first SC was good. Though I suppose you could put it under Warcraft (what with it's "Orcs in space" origins). I haven't played SC2, but it also sounds fun.

Diablo 3 says "hi": http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2012/01/diablo-3-consoles/
Also... there is a Playstation Diablo I port out already and also an old Starcraft Nintendo 64 port. Both versions sucked which is propably why few people know about them.
The reason why Blizzard is not heavily invested into consoles is most likely not because they do not want to be, but rather because their previous attempts on consoles were rather abysmal failures.
That said, as dumbed down as D3 already is, even for an "action RPG", the console version might as well become a mega hit. :coughs: :P
-
Ahem. Article says “This is not a confirmation that Diablo III is coming to any console platform.”. AND I don't see any console version of D3 released right now, nor any rumours about it since this 2012 article. Outdated info much ?
EDIT: wait, misread the date. Silly murican date formats.

As a Blizz fanboy, I really enjoyed the books, the games, I played WoW when my friends were on vacation, but just to explore the world I loved as a kid first hand.
And now? Two aspects dead, the translated everythin to german...if you grew up with stories about Ironforge or Stormwind...Eisenschmiede and Sturmwind sounds sick. although it's just a translation...
For me, Blizzard is ruining the games since WotLk...
-
My Blizzard experience stopped at StarCraft and only began at WarCraft II. Both were great games, and I think you'd be hard pressed to deny them that claim. I really loved Blizzard back in the day because everything they made was also available on the Macintosh, which I was using at the time. But like Crizza said, I think downhill started right around WC III.

Never went near consoles? Lost Vikings begs to differ.
