G'day gents. Can anyone vouch for the veracity of this? At the very least, it's an interesting talking point.
Anyway, these are my results: (http://www.isidewith.com/results/61435381)

99% Democratic
91% Green
41% Libertarian
1% Republican
Apologies if we've already got this posted somewhere. Also, I am a dirty partisan. What of it. :D

Interesting website. I wonder how they generated the survey statistics...
-
Candidates you side with...
88%
Mitt Romney
on domestic policy, healthcare, social, environmental, immigration, and economic issues
77%
Gary Johnson
on domestic policy, healthcare, economic, and immigration issues
76%
Ron Paul
on domestic policy, healthcare, immigration, and economic issues
66%
Barack Obama
on foreign policy, science, and immigration issues
60%
American Voters
on domestic policy, science, foreign policy, environmental, immigration, and economic issues.
79% Republican
67% Green
63% Libertarian
60% Democratic
Huh.
Pretty much what I expected, though I'm surprised I agree that much with the Green Party.
Then again, I don't know how accurate this quiz is. Only three questions per category seems like a rather nonrepresentative sample.
-
Some sections have a few more, you just have to click on the down arrow on the sections that do. But yeah...I was pretty skeptical as to how they worked out the stats.
-
Who the **** is Jill Stein and why do I agree with 86% of her policies apparently? :p
-
My thoughts exactly. Made me think the Green Party was behind this one, especially since all of my friends churned out similar results. :P
-
Virgil Goode made me laugh. I agreed with him only 1%. And that was probably only on the "Puppies and kittens are cute" question. :p
-
as political alignment tests go, that wasn't all that bad. as soon as i saw the link i was starting to fuel up my flamethrower :P
so if any of you have ever noticed i rarely post more than once or twice in a political thread, here is why.
96%
Mitt Romney
on economic, domestic policy, immigration, healthcare, social, foreign policy, and science issues
nothing to add.
87%
Ron Paul
on economic, domestic policy, immigration, healthcare, and social issues
i think he's got his head in the right place, just not all that practical. but i get it, he's more making a point than a serious run at getting those policies in.
76%
Gary Johnson
on economic, domestic policy, and healthcare issues
.... who?
53%
Barack Obama
on foreign policy issues
the one topic tells the story more than the percentage. i don't give a **** about foreign policy as long as we aren't inviting attack.
93% Republican
64% Libertarian
24% Democratic
10% Green
I'm betting the 10% Green bit is based solely on global warming, which is the one serious flaw i see with this. I agree with libertarians on basic principle of don't let the government **** with everything, but in reality they are goddamn wackjobs.
-
79% gary johnson
79% ron paul
76% mitt romney
73% republican
67% green
66% democratic
65% libertarian
dont know why i scored high on green, maybe is mistake. im always the **** climate change, we can hust heat the world with nukes, and nuke the whales too. im also surprised libertarian scored lowest, i always was kind of an anarchist. canidates dont supprise me. these are more or less the canidates i was looking at, with the exception of gary johnson, who ive never heard of before.

It always feels weird when I take these quizzes: (http://www.isidewith.com/results/61686245)
By candidate:
85% Jill Stein - on social, domestic policy, science, economic, environmental, and healthcare issues
85% Barack Obama - on social, science, economic, environmental, and healthcare issues
79% Gary Johnson - on foreign policy, domestic policy, social, environmental, and immigration issues
60% Rocky Anderson - on social, environmental, and healthcare issues
54% Ron Paul - on foreign policy and domestic policy issues
18% Mitt Romney - no major issues
13% Virgil Goode - no major issues
55% American Voters
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By party:
89% Democratic
80% Green
39% Libertarian
7% Republican
Who the heck is Jill Stein? I've never heard of her before :P.
-
I really wish there was an "I don't know" or "I don't have an opinion on the matter" response. But apparently I'm 84% aligned with Jill Stein.

There was an "Add your response" and a "Least probable of giving a damn." :P

http://www.isidewith.com/results/62289717
Jill Stein 91%
Rocky Anderson 68%
Gary Johnson & Barack Obama 67%
Ron Paul 55%
Mitt Romney 4%
Green: 89%
Democratic: 88%
Libertarian: 41%
Republican: 0%
+1 for wanting an "I have no opinion about this" option.
Edit: and I notice, when looking at what I agree/disagree with Jill Stein about, that some of the things where she said "Yes" and I chose a more specific variation on "Yes" counted as disagreement... but not consistently.
It looks like many of you guys were able to just copy-paste something, where are you copying from? Mine's got a bunch of images and crap in the way.

You can actually leave questions or even entire sections blank and the quiz will still do its thing. I left immigration and a few other questions alone because I just don't know the cultural dynamic/enough about it.
