Hello together,
first of all thank you for two great campaigns with AoA and WiH. I've enjoyed them very much. Unfortunately with the new update of WiH I had a few problems. This may somehow be related to the font size of my computer, though I am not sure what was intended by the update and what wasn't.
I have attached a screenshot and the log-file. The screenshot shows that the energy transfer systems somehow is displayed twice and overlapping on my screen which is still ok for playing the mod. More confusing is the part of the HUD showing the active primary and secondary weapon-slots (which isn't shown anymore on my screen) and basically every number in the HUD showing a distance from a target or the hull percentage of a target (which almost always isn't correct on my screen because single digits are missing).
Interestingly if I choose AoA as the active mod in the launcher, the problem does not show up (the HUD is still the "old" one). The same goes for any other mod so far. I've installed Freespace and FreespaceOpen fresh this week to see if there was some problem with my installation but the problem remains.

As far as I know the doubled ETS is a problem with the latest SCP version 3.6.14 RC7, which may also be causing the other corruption. Try going back to RC6 and see if it fixes the HUD issues.

To sum up the issue, there has been discontent over the way the new HUD code treats the ETS gauges, which has led to a dual entry for them, with the old way and the new way.
WiH's update was released before that fix happened, and hence its tables don't include the line deactivating that second entry for the ETS, which is now active by default. Hence the doubling of the gauges.
It is not a bug in the engine, it is the effect of outdated tables. You can expect this to be fixed whenever the BP team releases something new (be it another update or WiH R2).

You can get an updated HUD gauges table from this mantis topic (http://scp.indiegames.us/mantis/view.php?id=2672). Put bp2_mv_root-hdg.tbm into blueplanet2/data/tables.

Lastly, regarding the problem with the triangles not showing up for the primary/secondary selections? I suspect the problem is font related and possibly due to you having a German language version of Freespace. Those characters are part of the font and BP2 uses a custom font which may not play nicely with the German (that's my guess anyway - I'm not sure how to fix it)

I too have the german version of the game, and for me the triangular indicators show up. I tested it in BP2, with only the 3612 MVPs and without any mod and everytime they where there.
So unless I did some modification to my game that I forgot about, it is not related to the german version.
While I usually do use an english stu_fs2.vp and strings.tbl, I reverted to my backups of the original files for the testing.

It seems that I found a partial solution for my problem here:

I changed the language key in my registry-entry for FS2 to English and suddenly it works with WiH. The funny part is that now the other mods (with the "old" HUD) have the problem. Well at least I can play WiH now with a proper HUD.
